A continuous immersion process coats the yarn evenly with copper fragments, embedding them into the yarn’s surface. That treated yarn becomes part of the finished fabric at the top of the sleep system.

How do the three mattress series differ?
Hybrid Quilted has a stitched, cushioned top over foam layers and encased coils. Hybrid Smoothtop pairs a smoother surface with foam comfort layers and coil support. Foam Smoothtop uses an all-foam support core.

Start with the feel you enjoy: a steadier firm surface, balanced medium cushioning, or a softer plush feel. The top style and support core also influence how a mattress feels, so two mattresses labeled “firm” may feel different.

What is NatuVerex fabric?
NatuVerex is the copper-yarn fabric used in the cooling cover. Its manufacturing process treats the yarn with copper before the yarn is knitted into the finished fabric. Spring Air specifies a minimum of 30% patented copper yarn in the fabric.

What does the four-layer bedding test show?
Spring Air’s library includes a laboratory test of a layered textile sample. The report’s sample description lists four textile components in total: copper-infused ticking, one laminated textile, and two jersey-knit textiles.
The CTT Group report records a 98% reduction in MRSA bacteria after 24 hours under its test conditions. This result applies to the submitted sample; it is not a promise of the same result through every combination of sheets and mattress protectors.
The report did not measure copper absorption into skin or health benefits in people sleeping on a mattress. Read the original laboratory report (opens a new tab).
What research is available on copper-infused fabric?
The supplied research includes a 2023 laboratory cell study (opens a new tab) on inflammatory signaling and a 2022 study in mice (opens a new tab) examining metabolic measures and gut bacteria.
These studies explore the material’s biological effects in those settings. They do not establish that sleeping on a Copper mattress reduces inflammation, causes weight loss, or treats a health condition in people.
Can I use an adjustable base, sheets, and a mattress protector?
Spring Air identifies adjustable-base compatibility in the Copper collection. Our team can confirm the right base and size for the mattress you choose.
Choose sheets and a protector that fit the mattress profile, and follow the mattress and bedding care instructions. The four-layer laboratory report above should not be treated as a guarantee for every bedding setup.
How do the Standard and Contour pillows differ?
The Standard has a traditional pillow shape. The Contour adds a shoulder cutout for sleepers who prefer space around the shoulder. Both combine a NatuVerex cover with Copper Freeze memory foam.
